In 2011 my husband and I decided to build our dream house. After much time spent researching builders we kept coming back to the one name that seemed to command the respect of every person that had dealt with him. The name of the person was Jim Philippidis, a local builder that specialized in quality designer homes. We had a set of plans drawn up previously and ours was not a standard house and the plan was lacking in detail. Jim not only managed to overcome the lack of essential detail but he put his own unique finish into our house and consequently built us a home that far exceeded our expectations. Nothing seemed to phase Jim. He not only build the house but he also arranged for the retaining wall etc. that were not in the original quotation. Our experience dealing with Jim was a genuinely gratifying one. We found him to be receptive to changes and variations and he was contactable at all times. We would thoroughly recommend him to any perspective clients and we would be pleased to speak to said clients regarding our build.

In November 2013, Jim handed us the keys to our new house. We could not fault the workmanship and the overall integrity of the building. This is a house we are truly proud to call "our home".

The building of this house has been a positive experience from start to finish. Jim selected and managed his subcontractors well, they were all true professionals in their chosen trades. Jim himself is consummate professional nurturing the build in all of its complexities. He is also very innovative making significant contributions during the building process by suggesting enhancements to the design configuration that in turn ended up giving the building an even better presentation.

Jim communicated well with us during the entire build. This was very important to us as we were not living in Coffs Harbour at the time. Progress photos were sent to us and we spoke often.

Solitary Designer Homes took on building our home on a very small block with all its challenges from the planning stage through to completion. They guided us through what would have been an otherwise overwhelming project. The process resulting in a home which perfectly fits our needs.
